Xcore86 represents a complete PC motherboard on a single chip.

The Xcore86 is the lowest cost, most energy efficient platform available to support existing x86 operating systems and applications. The Xcore86 doesn't require a fan or massive heatsink, allowing it to be sealed to operate in harsh environments.

The Xcore86 can be used with 4 and 6 layer boards (depending on size and application). It includes minimum 1Ghz CPU, FPU, System I/O (parallel port, GPIO, RS232, USB 2.0), SD to IDE, Flash BIOS, Lan on Chip, Video, Sound, JTAG, MTBF countdown timer and watchdog timer. It consumes less than 2 watts of power at 1Ghz.

Today's barriers to connectivity are size, energy, environment and cost. Xcore is focused on building devices that overcome all of these barriers. Using the Xcore86 DoC, Xcore will build devices (anything) that allow anyone to communicate from anywhere at anytime.
