The Infopad is planned to be an ultra low-cost alternative to existing ebook readers such as the Amazon Kindle . Ebook readers typically use ePaper and have the advantage of very long battery life and book like contrast.  The disadvantage of ebook readers is that they don't offer color or multimedia functions.

The Infopad will use the same components as the Edubook 10.1 but will be configured in a webpad configuration. it will feature 16 hour battery life, 10.1 inch color screen and integrated WIFI.  The motherboard will be designed to offer thee external USB slots and three intenral USB options. The USB options include, RFID module, Webcam and GPRS, Edge, CDMA, EDVO, HSPDA or WIMAX module.  The Infopad will be priced from $300, depending on the functionality required. Special versions can be produced for rugged, medical or other applications.
